New Radwaste Treatment Facility for Smolensk NPP

Within the framework of this project we have produced and supplied to the new Radwaste Treatment Facility the WAM-201 "WasteScan" waste assay system for low and intermediate level waste from the Smolensk NPP.
The system supplied provides automatic gamma spectrometry measurement of drums and consists of following parts and subsystems:
- Waste assay system with HPGe spectrometric detector and MDG-12S directional dose rate meter
- Drum handling and transfer System
- Emergency recovery system
- Remote visual surveillance system
- MDG-02 dose rate monitors to secure the safety of the operators
- Set of portable instruments including RP-2000 radiometer
Complete services were provided:
- Technical design, detailed design
- Development, production, supply
- On-site installation
- Testing and commissioning
- Personnel training
- Metrological certification in Russian Federation
