The main project goal was to upgrade the systems for in-situ monitoring (continuous and periodical) of the airborne and liquid radioactive releases. The design of additional sampling lines, construction and installation of the equipment, sampling devices and consumables are included in this project activities.

The main systems supplied were:

  • Continuous representative, isokinetic, proportional sampling of aerosols from ventilation stacks effluents;
  • Periodical quantitative sampling of Kr-85 from ventilation stacks effluents;
  • Continuous proportional sampling of H-3, C-14 from gaseous effluents;
  • Continuous measurement of the flow rates through ventilation stacks.

Another project goal was to improve the laboratory equipment for the measurement of radioactive discharges. Upgrading the existing laboratory gamma-spectrometry systems by the supply of gamma spectrometry equipment with higher efficiency, appropriate calibration tools and consumables (measuring containers) for this equipment were included in the scope of supply.
